What does it mean to know God and get closer to Him? In this internship, you will learn and grow in these places. You will know Him and know how to hear from Him.
Our vision for the internship is to create a space where you can experience a hands-on way to serve in a church without having to decide if you want to be "a pastor." Service and ministry are a way of life and see how this looks both in and out of the church is important.
Who are you? Do you know why God called you and put you where he did? Let us help you find your purpose and release you into your destiny.
To be called out is a new path or plan that says I want more than just the idea of church or the normal thing; I need to see God move in my life and the lives of others. To undertake an internship means setting yourself apart, making time, and focusing on gaining hands-on and practical experience in connecting the word to its application. Here is what you can expect from the internship experience:
Plan to set aside your life to follow. Just as the disciples dropped everything when Jesus called, we ask that you set aside this time to go deep. While there is some room for part-time jobs or college classes, we ask that your priority be the pursuit of Jesus during this first-year experience.
The second year is deliberate in the missional focus. The largest part of the second year is to pick a college and enroll full-time as a student missionary. While enrolled, your mission is to act like a missionary to this school. To seek out people, to make disciples, and start a movement in that community.
In the second year, your focus is:
What to expect for activities:
You (and the others with you) will be released to plan, coordinate, and lead your respective areas. With the oversight of the internship leaders, you will for all intents and purposes be leading your own movement and handling the details of what it means to make disciples who, in turn, do the same.
